ROYAL Lighting Team Building: A Journey to Mountains and Waters with Families, Uniting Hearts for Progress

To fulfill the corporate mission of "making partners feel at ease and assured, and employees feel happy and content", enrich employees’ spiritual and cultural life, and enhance team cohesion as well as a sense of family belonging, Jiangsu ROYAL Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. organized a warm two-day team building activity for all employees and their families on August 16-17. On the first day, the group wandered around Yaohu Town in Yixing, the "Capital of Ceramics", to experience its cultural elegance; on the second day, they headed to Shaodong Village to enjoy the cool fun of playing in water. Amidst nature and laughter, the warmth and vitality of the "ROYAL Big Family" bloomed freely.

Day 1: Exploring Ceramic Charm in Yaohu Town, Integrating Craftsmanship Spirit into Details

In the early morning of August 16, buses loaded with ROYAL employees and their families set off for Yixing, the Capital of Ceramics. The first stop was Yaohu Town, known as the "Poetic Dwelling in the South of the Yangtze River". Winding bluestone paths stretched ahead, and a faint fragrance of tea and clay lingered among the gray-brick and black-tile buildings. Everyone wandered around with their families—some paused to admire the exquisite details of the ancient town’s architecture, while others chatted about daily life on the lakeside plank road. The precious parent-child time and family gatherings, which were often missed due to busy work, became particularly valuable at this moment.

As a characteristic landmark of Yixing, Yaohu Town is permeated with the elegant charm of the millennium-old ceramic culture everywhere. During the walk around the town, everyone was deeply attracted by the hand-made ceramic exhibits displayed along the street— the celadon tea sets in the windows had delicate patterns as smooth as porcelain, and the bionic ceramic sculptures were vivid and lifelike. Each work demonstrated the craftsmen’s ultimate focus on details. Children gathered around the display cabinets, curiously asking, "How are these patterns carved?" Employees couldn’t help but stop and discuss: "Look at the smoothness of this ceramic blank—it’s just like the die-casting process for the housings of our ROG series lamps; both require precise control to achieve such uniformity." The wife of Engineer Wang from the R&D department looked at the exhibits and sighed: "I used to hear him say, ‘Making lighting is like practicing a craft—even a tiny mistake won’t do.’ Today, seeing the exquisite craftsmanship of these ceramics, I finally understand the meaning of this ‘perfectionism’ and better grasp your commitment to product quality."

As evening fell, Yaohu Town switched to its night tour mode. When the lights were lit, everyone followed the sound of gurgling water and gathered at the water-themed theater in the center of the town, waiting for the special "water show" to begin. As the music started, performers interacted with the stream to a lively rhythm—sometimes using bamboo props to draw arcs of water splashes, and sometimes cooperating with lights to present the beautiful scene of "ceramic light reflected in water". The clear stream intertwined with intangible cultural heritage elements, demonstrating both the vitality of Yixing’s "water charm" and the delicacy of traditional craftsmanship. It was just like ROYAL Lighting’s product R&D, which skillfully combines the practicality of industrial lighting with design aesthetics.

Employees and their families stood side by side—some raised their phones to record the wonderful moments, while others whispered to share their feelings at the moment. The once scattered small families gradually merged into one during this immersive water show. The warmth of the "ROYAL Big Family" quietly soaked into everyone’s heart as the stream flowed.

Day 2: Enjoying Leisure at Tiangu Villa, Having Fun in Water at Shaodong Village, and Returning Home with Warmth

In the early morning of August 17, the soft morning light of Tiangu Villa in Yixing fell gently. After a good night’s sleep, ROYAL employees and their families started a comfortable day of the team building. The hotel’s breakfast area was already filled with a rich variety of food—warm porridge, crispy fried dough sticks, and local specialty pickles from Yixing. Children skipped along, holding their parents’ hands to pick their favorite snacks. Employees sat around, laughing and recalling the wonderful water show at Yaohu Town the day before. The casual conversations, accompanied by the morning light, filled the breakfast time with the warmth of the "ROYAL Big Family".

After breakfast, everyone began their free time at the villa, and the KTV room quickly became the most lively "gathering spot". ROYAL employees, who usually focused on R&D, production, and sales, turned into "vocal stars" one after another. There was no busyness of work—only the joy of being with each other. The songs and laughter in the KTV room intertwined into the most beautiful "teamwork melody".

After the joyful KTV session, everyone gathered in the villa’s restaurant to enjoy the exclusive group meal carefully arranged by the company. On the table, the casserole fish head soup was rich and mellow, with the milky soup full of the essence of lake fresh ingredients; the steamed red grouper had tender meat that melted in the mouth; the braised pork with quail eggs was rich in sauce, and the quail eggs were especially flavorful after absorbing the meat juice. Particularly, the bowl of Yangxian black rice had shiny and glutinous grains, and every bite was filled with the fresh fragrance of plants and trees. Just as ROYAL Lighting always adheres to "quality first" in product development—from the ROG series high bay lights adapted to different industrial scenarios to the smart radar sensors with precise light control—every product is like this group meal: it is not only full of attention to details but also meets the real needs of users.

After the meal, everyone was still in high spirits and returned to the KTV room to sing a few more songs they hadn’t had the chance to perform earlier—some made up for the songs they hadn’t grabbed before, while others sang parent-child songs again with their families. The lively atmosphere eased the sadness of parting. Later, everyone gathered as planned, boarded the bus, and headed to Shaodong Village for the long-awaited water-playing trip.

Upon arriving at Shaodong Village, the clear stream and lush shade immediately ignited everyone’s enthusiasm. Children held their parents’ hands and rushed into the shallow water area; water guns "biubiubiu" spurted out joyful sprays of water. Sometimes they bent down to catch small fish, and their clear laughter echoed along the stream. Employees also let go of their usual prudence—some formed teams to play "water relay races", while others helped their children build "stone castles". "Ordinarily, we need to be precise when adjusting the light efficiency of lamps, but today we can ‘let loose’ while playing in the water!" an employee joked.

The two-hour water-playing time passed in a flash. Everyone, filled with coolness and smiles, reluctantly boarded the bus for the return trip. As the bus started slowly, tired but content, the children soon nestled in their parents’ arms and fell asleep. Many families leaned against each other warmly—some flipped through the water-playing photos on their phones, while others chatted softly about the interesting things of the past two days. There was no noise in the quiet bus, only the sense of security from being with each other. This warmth and rapport gained amidst mountains and waters is the best embodiment of ROYAL Lighting’s corporate culture of "people-oriented, win-win through unity".

Uniting Hearts for the Future, Growing Together with Warmth

Although the two-day team building was short, it left countless precious memories for the ROYAL family. From the cultural influence of Yaohu Town to the cool fun at Shaodong Village, every part embodied the company’s care for employees, and every moment of laughter witnessed the cohesion of the "ROYAL Big Family".

"ROYAL's development is inseparable from the hard work of every employee, and even more so from the silent support of their families," said Zhang Ming, General Manager, on the return trip. "We hope that through such team building activities, everyone can relax amid busy work, and family members can also feel the warmth of ROYAL. In the future, ROYAL Lighting will continue to take ‘lighting empowers industries’ as its mission, and with this family-like warmth and team cohesion, create safer, more efficient, and more sustainable lighting solutions for global customers, and build a broader growth platform for every ROYAL person."

Carrying the happiness and strength gained from the team building, the ROYAL family has returned to their posts with full vitality. It is believed that this cohesive force of "uniting our thoughts and working toward the same goal" will be transformed into a strong driving force for the company's sustainable development, enabling ROYAL Lighting to move more steadily and further on its path in the industrial lighting field.
